Economic Development

Every project, every investment, every job is important to the City of Oxford. The City of Oxford has a balanced approach to economic development, focusing on small business, commercial, and industrial development.

The City is committed to planning, partnering, and progress. Plans are currently being developed for the Linden Avenue Corridor (exit 204/Hwy 96), as well as a master plan for the downtown area, which is the heart of our community. The City is partnering with Granville County to create opportunities for continued industrial growth with both existing and new industries.

We continue to invest in infrastructure but understand that our greatest resource is our people. There is a tremendous amount of information available on this website for those who desire to gauge the potential for various economic development projects in Oxford. This information is just the beginning. We urge you to use the site and the information, but also to contact us to see how our plans and your plans can provide a public-private partnership that allows your development the success it deserves.

In this section, you will find important location and demographic information, as well as information about our neighborhoods.

Our Maps page includes general contact information, and maps of City-owned facilities, zoning, City streets, and the Downtown Historic District.
