Residential Permit: $100.00
Commercial Permit: $100.00 (Minimum)

Please note that commercial driveways have a minimum permit fee of $100.00. For residential driveways, the same fee applies. Our goal is to ensure the safety and functionality of all driveways in Oxford.

The streets in Oxford are meticulously maintained and operated by either the City or the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). To maintain the integrity of our roads, we require all applicants to obtain the necessary permits before commencing any driveway construction or modifications.

Why You Need a Driveway Permit?

Obtaining a driveway permit is not only a requirement but also a vital step to ensure the smooth coordination of construction projects within our community. By acquiring the permit, you contribute to the overall safety and accessibility of our roads.

State Maintained Roads vs. City Maintained Roads

If you’re constructing or making modifications to a driveway on a NCDOT street, you will need to fill out and submit the NCDOT Driveway Permit application to the NCDOT local district office. Their application can be found by visiting this link
