Operation ID

The Oxford Police Department would like to announce that it will be conducting Operation ID for the citizen’s of Oxford. Operation ID is a nationwide program designed to discourage burglary and theft of valuables. It also provides a means for law enforcement to identify stolen property and prove ownership.

The Oxford Police Department has purchased (2) engravers in an effort to assist the citizens with marking their property and will provide an inventory sheet for each citizen for their records. Items that are recommended to be engraved are large items such as TV’s, Stereos, Video Game Consoles, Computers, Laptops, Tablets, power tools.

If you would like to participate in “Operation ID” you may schedule an appointment with the Oxford Police Department. Appointments will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m -11:30 a.m and 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. If you would like to schedule an appointment, contact the Oxford Police Department at 919-603-1211.
