Planning & Zoning

The mission of the City of Oxford's Planning Department is to help ensure the health, safety, and general welfare of the public, and to protect the environment relating to zoning by providing fair, consistent, and timely enforcement of local codes and City ordinances through service, education, and coordination with other agencies. Links and documents have been added to the bottom of this page, including the newly adopted Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), Bicycle, and Pedestrian plans.

If you have questions regarding zoning, setback requirements, subdivision regulations, rezoning matters, site plan review, annexation, property uses, variances, special use permits, special event permits, and minimum housing standards, please contact the department.
