*UPDATE 4/21/2022*
The City of Oxford will be condensing yard waste, street sweeping, and bulky item collection days starting May 1, 2022.
Furniture will be picked up on Wednesday only and the street sweeper will run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

*Reminder ~ Per City ordinance leaves need to be BAGGED until October. The leaf truck will NOT operate until then. Please DO NOT put out piles of leaves as they will not be picked up.

The following maps will help you identify which day of the week your yard/brush debris, garbage, and recycling are collected.

The current trash and recycle collection days have not changed and will continue to be collected by Waste Industries, your Brush/Yard Debris will now be collected by the City of Oxford and will be collected the same day as your trash; If you are uncertain of your collection day, please see the attached maps.

Residents are asked to use the following guidelines to expedite the collection of yard debris.

Place leaves/grass clippings:

  • On tarps
  • In bio-degradable bags
  • In clear plastic bags (if placed in dark bags they will be confused with household trash)

Open Leaf Season Begins in October - During open leaf season, residents are allowed to place their leaves on the curb in front of their homes. Leaves must be raked to the edge of your yard behind the curb, and not in the street or on the sidewalk. Loose-leaf piles need to be free and clear of all other materials – sticks, limbs, garbage, or other debris that may damage the equipment the city uses to collect leaves. Do not park your vehicles on, in front of, or near leaves. The crews need to be able to easily reach the leaves for pick up. Please do not place leaves in the street, block drainage basins, or drainage ditches. Leaves must be within 8-10 feet of the street for collection.
