On November 25, 2019, Oxford received the 2018 Tree City USA award for accomplishments in 2018. Oxford is one of 86 cities and towns in NC and one of over 3,400 in the nation to receive this recognition, which also marks the 3rd year that Oxford has earned this national designation. This award encourages management of urban trees for a healthy, sustainable urban forest that reduces energy costs and consumption, boosts property values, builds strong community ties and honors the community.
Stop by the Community Engagement tent located near the Kid Zone at the Lighting of the Greens Market, Friday, December 6th (4-6:30 PM). Share your input regarding community values, amenity needs, program needs and department priorities. We look forward to your participation!
