Board of Commissioners Fiscal Year Goals
The City of Oxford Board of Commissioners set out each fiscal year aiming towards the improvement of quality of life for the citizens, businesses, and visitors in Oxford. These priorities were established at the Board of Commissioners 2020 Retreat and are subject to review and modification, by the Board, at its discretion.
HIGH PRIORITY
- Increased communication with citizens & stakeholders;
- Implementation of the Downtown Master Plan;
- City Street Resurfacing Initiative; and
- Development of the City of Oxford Economic Development Incentives
MEDIUM PRIORITY
- Strategic Planning for anticipated growth;
- Management of Debt;
- City-wide branding;
- Employee/Staff retention; and
- Hix Field utilization/improvements
OTHER
- Prioritization of City of Oxford Capital Improvement Projects;
- Funding of outside agencies; and
- Retail recruitment
