Welcome to your One Stop Shopping Center for fresh fruits, veggies, baked goods, jams, jellies, trees, plants, honey and crafts. In 2010, we were voted the 2nd Favorite Small Farmers Market in NC and the 11th Favorite Small Farmers Market in America.
Located at the corner of McClanahan and Lanier Streets across from the Police Station, our vendors seek to provide you with top quality products. Everything we sell is either homemade or homegrown by our vendors.

Market Dates: We normally open the first weekend in May. Depending on the weather and availability of crops, we stay open until the end of October or the third weekend in November.
When visiting the market, check out the merchants in downtown Oxford. You’ll discover a treasure cove of various items and eating places.

Fresh vegetables provide the key to a healthy lifestyle. Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins A and C, along with carbohydrates and folic acid to keep our bodies and blood healthy. They also offer rich resources of dietary fiber, are low in calories, and provide good sources of vitamins and minerals. Many contain substances found in plants that help prevent cardiovascular disease. Deep yellow and dark green vegetables are rich sources of Vitamin A. Increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables can lower cancer risks and many other diseases.
Antioxidants, such as vitamins E, C, and beta carotene, are found naturally in the following foods:
Beta Carotene: Sweet potatoes, squash, cantaloupe, pumpkins, collard greens, spinach and kale
Lycopene: Tomatoes
Vitamin A: Sweet potatoes, egg yolks
Vitamin C: Broccoli, green peppers, strawberries, and tomatoes
Fresh vegetables are low in cholesterol since they don’t contain the high amounts of sodium found in canned vegetables bought at the store.
Locally grown foods are increasing in popularity because food doesn’t have to travel far to reach the consumer. It can be harvested at its peak, which means better things for you: taste, nutritional value, and lower costs of fruits and vegetables.
